Dialog NewsRoom, which will be incorporated into a new category of eWatch™ called "PrintPubs," draws from more than 11,000 publications in more than 50 vertical industries, including wire services; daily newspapers from around the world; national and international business newspapers; trade, business and scholastic journals; industry newsletters and more.

PR Newswire's eWatch™ monitoring service pioneered Internet monitoring more than a decade ago and has remained the industry leader as PR Newswire has continually added new functionality to assist organizations in their efforts to find out where and how their company, products, executives or competition are being cited by the media. eWatch™ currently scans nearly 9,000 Web publications and blogs, hundreds of thousands of public discussion messages from bulletin boards, UseNet groups and e-mail discussion groups based upon customized search criteria.

"In conversations we have had with our customers, they indicated that they wanted to continue using eWatch™ as their primary monitoring service because of its ease of use and reporting functionalities, but they were in need of print-based content," said Nancy Sells, vice president, Media Intelligence Products, PR Newswire. "We entered into this partnership with Dialog to answer these needs and provide the most comprehensive monitoring service in the industry."

PrintPubs will operate in the same way that eWatch's Web Pubs service works. PrintPubs will scan the more than 11,000 print-based newspapers, trade journals, broadcast transcripts, magazines and newsletters in Dialog NewsRoom for keywords or phrases that a customer selects, and alert the customer to the new content through daily and weekly e-mail updates.

A simple "inbox" interface accessible via PRN Direct (http://www.prndirect.com/), PR Newswire's secure customer extranet, allows users to sort links to articles by subject, client, date, or number of search term matches. They can flag the links to share with their clients and colleagues, and e-mail individual article links or an entire page of article links with highlighted search terms, with one click. Folders, both personal and shared, allow users to collect clips from any date and create reports that can be e-mailed or archived on the Web site. Public relations agency professionals can sort information by client, creating separate tabs and reports based upon individual client accounts, and permit access to those reports on an individual basis. Sophisticated search technology ensures superior content quality and the ability to download accessed clips and statistics into HTML format, allowing a user to easily create reports using popular word processing or spreadsheet software. eWatch™ also provides readership data for thousands of online publications, allowing customers to measure the number of potential viewers and possible impact.

eWatch™, http://www.ewatch.com/, pioneered the Internet monitoring industry in 1994. PR Newswire purchased eWatch™ in 2000 to expand its communications services for public relations and investor relations professionals. This is the second significant enhancement of eWatch since PR Newswire integrated all of its Media Intelligence Products -- ProfNet Experts, MEDIAtlas and eWatch -- in December and made them accessible via one single interface on PRN Direct, a secure customer extranet.
