MultiVu Appoints Broadcast Veteran David Cappello to Divisional Vice President

Sixteen-year veteran of broadcast production and distribution, David Cappello, has been appointed divisional vice president of MultiVu, the broadcast public relations and multimedia division of PR Newswire, it was announced today.

Cappello, who will be based in New York, will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-level relationships with MultiVu's technology, retail and consumer goods clients. Cappello will report to MultiVu president Larry Thomas.

Cappello most recently served as a vice president and executive producer at Medialink Worldwide where he consulted with major corporations and agencies on broadcast PR initiatives and internal communication needs. Prior to his tenure at Medialink, Cappello spent a decade at ABC in the International Broadcast Division where he traveled around the world covering major political events, elections and breaking news stories. Cappello began his career at ABC as a camera operator, videotape editor and live events producer. He quickly advanced to producing and directing multi-camera programs and global satellite distribution for domestic and international news broadcasters.
