The New York Chapter of PRSA (Public Relations Society of America), among the largest in the nation with more than 1,000 members, has chosen DVCO Technology, a Denver-based online communications technology firm, to rebuild its Chapter Web site.

The new Web site will launch in April 2005 and will offer PRSA members and guests enhanced functionality, such as searchable member and vendor directories, a confidential public relations job bank, and online event registration.

The decision was made rather easily, according to longtime PRSA New York Chapter board member Don Bates. "Like most professional organizations, PRSA chapters need to offer more member resources online. And also like most professional organizations, PRSA chapters depend on the work of volunteers, so our online tools must be efficient and very easy to use. DVCO has the most experience and was simply the best provider in the industry."

Since 2001, DVCO Technology has worked with several PRSA chapters around the country, including their local chapter in Denver (http://www.prsacolorado.org/).

DVCO Technology's RelationsCentral™ 3.0 software application was awarded the "2004 PR Innovation of the Year" by PR Week magazine for its technology that allows communication professionals to build online media rooms that offer journalists the information they need, without reliance on IT professionals. The PRSA New York Chapter will use the RelationsCentral platform to manage all content on its new Web site.

Bates summed up some of the benefits recognized by numerous public relations professionals who have discovered RelationsCentral. "Our Chapter will able to completely revamp our online identity, manage all of the content moving forward with no or little technical skill, and provide state-of-the-art PR resources to our membership through DVCO's tools."

Today, leading public relations agencies such as Alan Taylor Communications and Euro RSCG Magnet, use DVCO Technology's RelationsCentral online platform that supports standard public relations activities, including document management, contact management, project management and content management. Designed and developed by professional communicators for professional communicators, DVCO Technology's RelationsCentral is easy to use, with no code writing or technical skill required, and it can be implemented at a cost-effective price point.

Additionally, DVCO Technology provides its proprietary online MediaRoom product through PR Newswire to corporations such as Office Max, Lowes, Home Depot, TGI Fridays, Time Warner Cable, Comerica Banks and General Nutrition Corporation.
