Powered by eWatch™, the leading monitoring service from PR Newswire, US1 Media Monitoring will enable communications professionals to monitor more than 14,000 online publications including those of daily, weekly and broadcast media outlets such as The New York Times, Crain's Chicago Business and ABC News, as well as influential blogs, for pick-up of their news release, immediately after it is issued and for 30 days following. Each time a subsequent news release is issued over US1, media monitoring will be activated for 30 days following that release.

"Keeping track of the results of a public relations campaign can be extremely time consuming, but as our customers have indicated to us, it's critical to evaluating the ROI and success of their campaigns," said Sarah Skerik, PR Newswire's vice president of Distribution Services. "With US1 Media Monitoring, issuers of news releases will benefit from an end-to-end solution that distributes and optimizes their news release, and monitors the results. But it goes way beyond just monitoring the news release because customers can include additional keywords and competitors to monitor their entire program throughout those 30 days."

Users of US1 Media Monitoring will be able to view the links to their articles from the online report site. Once a news release is issued, the user will receive an invitation to activate their monitoring account. Once activated, the user to log into the site where they can view their reports, add more keywords, forward articles to colleagues and save the articles to download into clip reports.

"Virtually every PR professional employs media monitoring," said Skerik. "Now they can rely on PR Newswire to add meaningfully to that without spending any more to get it. Two years ago, PR Newswire set a new standard in news release distribution by adding search engine optimization through our SEV service to every news release distributed through our national newsline, today we mark another major industry innovation by providing media monitoring with every nationally distributed news release."

In addition to complimentary media monitoring, news releases sent over any newsline that includes US1 distribution also receive complimentary search engine optimization with PR Newswire's Search Engine Visibility (SEV) tool. Premium Access Reporting, providing details on the number of journalists who have accessed the news release from PR Newswire for Journalists and the number of people who have accessed the release from PR Newswire's public website, http://www.prnewswire.com/, also comes complimentary with any US1 distribution.

PR Newswire's eWatch™ monitoring service pioneered Internet monitoring more than a decade ago and PR Newswire has continually added new functionality to assist organizations in their efforts to find out where and how their company, products, executives or competition are being cited by the media. eWatch™ currently scans more than 14,000 online sources and blogs, and 11,000 print sources based upon customized search criteria provided by individual users.
