Rowan University Sponsors Second Annual Online Communication Conference

Rowan University will sponsor this year's International Association of Online Communicators (IAOC) conference on May 18, 2007 at the Holiday Inn in Bridgeport, NJ.

This conference, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m., will comprise breakfast, roundtable paper presentations, networking opportunities, as well as a keynote luncheon presentation, co-sponsored with PRSA Philadelphia.

Paper presentations will include such topics as "Podcasting in Marketing and Public Relations," "Approaches to Designing Online Courses," "Fear or Optimism: How Organizations View Social Media," "Emerging Legal and Ethical Considerations in the Shifting Structure of Online Communication" and "Web 2.0 for the Travel Marketer and Consumer."

A keynote panel discussion titled, "Get Real: Promoting Genuine Experience in Virtual Reality," will occur at the luncheon event. In an interactive session with the audience, panelists Felix Laboy, Don Dunnington and Steve O'Keefe will discuss how online media can help promote greater engagement in real world activities.
