Based in New York, George will be responsible for advising healthcare organizations of all sizes on the development and execution of broadcast and multimedia programs. He will report to Todd Grossman, vice president, sales and client services for MultiVu.

"Demand for multimedia communications content is increasing rapidly, with online video becoming a standard tool for companies to showcase their products and services," said Grossman. "This is particularly true in the healthcare sector, where companies are realizing the benefits of producing web-friendly broadcast materials to explain and show the value that their medical technologies provide. George has proven himself an innovator and leader in providing healthcare clients with creative solutions that produce tangible results. His promotion is well deserved, and we look forward to further benefiting from his knowledge and expertise in the future."

DeTorres served previously as national account manager for MultiVu's Healthcare Team; and as national account manager for MultiVu's Webcast division, which provides a wide range of webcast services, from conference calls to annual meetings, analyst days, new product announcements, and press conferences. He also held account management positions at PR Newswire, where he was twice named top seller for the company's online media monitoring service, eWatch. In 2004 George finished among the top 10 sales people across all PR Newswire divisions.

"In my seven years at PR Newswire I have seen online audio and video grow from a niche product to one that is present in every industry," said DeTorres. "This is particularly so in the healthcare space, where visual communications can be so helpful in explaining complex medical issues and technologically advanced treatments. MultiVu continues to lead in providing cutting-edge solutions for clients, and I'm delighted to be part of this phase in its development."

In the six years since its inception, MultiVu has become the fastest growing broadcast PR services company and counts among its customers 20 of the top 25 PR firms globally.
