  What is ProfNet Opportunities?

ProfNet Opportunities gives reporters writing stories an opportunity to send short descriptions of the stories and the type of experts they are seeking to the tens of thousands of experts in the ProfNet database. These experts, or the public relations officers who represent them, respond directly to the reporter offering their perspectives or assistance for the story. In January, ProfNet distributed 3,010 ProfNet Opportunities, the most in its 15- year history.

What does this change mean for reporters?
This is simply a name change. There is no change at all in the service.

  When is this change effective?
  The afternoon of February 5.
